The first batch in 2023, was implemented from 20 August to 9 September 2023 (21 days). The training program provided is soft skills training which includes the formation of discipline, character and leadership. This includes education about the importance of time management, teamwork, company values (SINCERE), safety, clean and healthy values, and national insight.

There is no guarantee of work for PSHCD participants, but through the education and development investment carried out, it is hoped that the participants will have superior character, thus providing opportunities to get work. Investment in human resources with education and training has brought participants success in pursuing a career in the world of work.

In the first week, the participants underwent training at the Nemangkawi Mining Institute (NMI), Mimika, Papua to receive training from the Organizational Development-Quality Management Service (OD-QMS). During these five days, participants took part in classes which included an introduction to PTFI's SINCERE values. They also attend training sessions on how to work smart, work ethic, time management, and effective communication in the work environment.

The Mental Revolution training continued in Kinasih, Bogor, West Java, the presenters were external trainers, from elements of the TNI and POLRI. During these three weeks, students received training in discipline, national defense, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and strengthening teamwork. Lastly, the participants underwent spiritual character building training.

After completing the entire training program, PSHCD participants return to the job site to continue the OJT (on the job training) program to strengthen skill aspects in their respective fields of expertise in their respective fields or divisions. Apart from that, the training consultant will continue to monitor the implementation of behavior changes in PSHCD participants in collaboration with each supervisor in the field. Around 90 percent of participants who graduated from the PSHCD program since 2017 have worked in contracting, privatization and PTFI companies. (Hendrikus)
